FAQ

We’re committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers.  We’ve done our best to answer all of the questions our customers might have about ghost productions below. Let us know if there’s something we missed.

Buying a Track

How many times is each track sold?

All tracks are only sold once.  They are displayed on the website up until the point that they are purchased.  As soon as they are purchased, you will be the sole owner of the ghost production and it will be removed from the public site.  You will then be able to download all of the files.  You can return and download the files associated with your ghost production whenever you need to via your account login.

What is included with in track purchase?

All track purchases include a fully mixed and mastered MP3 and WAV version of the track.  This will be the full version of the track, without any audio watermarks.  You will also receive the WAV stems of the track, as well as the MIDI files with every purchase.

Will I fully own the music legally or will you keep some ownership?

Once payment is complete, the track is yours. You have total ownership of all elements of the music and all files associated with it. We will not show your music anywhere and we will not retain any legal ownership.  All ghost productions are only sold once.

Can you make alterations to the track I have purchased

Yes, our production team can assist in making changes to your tracks at an additional cost.  Get in touch with us at info@producr.com and we can work with you to perfect the final version of your track.

Will I receive the project files with my purchase?

Project files will in most cases be available to you at an additional price.  Each individual track will display which DAW the track was made in.  We will provide you the project file for that DAW and will provide all presets for VSTs and their names.  We cannot guarantee that these files will work on your DAW or with your VSTs.

Can I return a track?

No, returns are not possible.  The reason for this is that one you have purchased the track, you have had access to the files.  There is no way we can ensure you delete the files.  For this reason, we can’t guarantee to a future customer that the track has only been sold once.  For this reason, returns are not possible.

Is the artwork included in my purchase?

No, the artwork is not included.

Mixing & Mastering

What is mixing and mastering?

Mixing is performed before mastering and is the process of adjusting audio levels and all different elements of the track into an audio file that has optimal sound design.  Once this is complete, the mastering element ensure that all the combined elements are functioning correctly and that the track as a whole has been finalised in a format that is optimal for all various audio platforms such as speakers, headphones, etc.

Why should I use a mixing and mastering service?

Mixing and mastering ensures that your track sounds the best it possibly can on all platforms before its release.  Even if a track sounds great on your headphones or studio monitors, it’s important to make sure your final mix and master has been performed by an external, unbiased professional to make sure it receives the final touches.

What files are required for your Mixing/Mastering service?

We require all WAV stems to mix and master your production. This means exporting each track/layer of your production into separate WAV files so that they can be professionally treated by our team. Each DAW has different methods of exporting WAV stems. If you have any issues or need further explanation please contact us and we can do our best to assist.

Can you mix and master any genre of music?

Yes.  We have experience and are able to mix and master all different genres of music.

Can I receive mastering without a mixdown?

No, to ensure a quality of sound we can achieve and stand by, we need to make sure that the mix and master of the track is at our standards.
